I'm Deric and this is my personal blog. I grew up on a diary farm in Indiana and now live in Arkansas with my wife and 2 year-old daughter. I graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Industrial Engineering and now work in transportation logistics.
Most of my life is consumed by work and family, but I also enjoy cycling, golf, watching movies, reading, and writing. I have an obsession with pens and other analog tools that are quickly being left in the dust by their digital replacements.
I'm not really sure what this blog is about. I guess it is about whatever I feel like writing. I always thought it would be cool to be the guy who writes the editorial section of the newspaper. He isn't a reporter and isn't beholden to doing research or even knowing what he is talking about. He just gets to write his opinion about whatever he wants. So this blog is like the editorial section of my own online newspaper. It just so happens to be the only section.
The idea of blogging appeals to me, so I do it. I don't claim to be good at it.
